soccer Pathway For All Soccer Players in Melbourne
Our Programs
Saturday Program & Spiderlings
First kicks, big smiles. Fun, skills-focused sessions for players aged 2–7, led by qualified community coaches. Sessions emphasise enjoyment and learning through play, building confidence and coordination.
Community Juniors & MiniRoos (U8–U11)
Local league soccer for boys and girls aged 8–11. Players train twice a week and play on Sundays, with equal minutes for all and a strong focus on friendships and fun.

Community Juniors (U12+)
A welcoming pathway for players 12+ to build skills and compete in a supportive team environment. Ideal for those seeking a balance of development and competition.
Boys Victorian Youth Premier League 2 (BVYPL2)
BVYPL2 is the second division of junior soccer in Victoria for boys. Accredited coaches and structured training drive player growth, with a clear pathway toward senior VPL football.

Junior Girls National Premier League (GVYPL)
Elite opportunities for talented female players with a clear pathway to Senior Women’s teams. The program emphasises technical ability, tactical awareness, and wellbeing.

School Holidays
Eltham Redbacks runs regular School Holiday Programs, aimed at keeping kids fit and active over the school holidays
Elite Academy Program
The Elite Academy Program is available to both current Eltham Redbacks players and those from outside the club, looking to take on additional training in preparation for NPL soccer.

Eltham Redbacks Football Club is excited to open Expressions of Interest (EOI) for our Junior Boys and Girls Victorian Youth Premier League programs for 2026. We have a proud history of nurturing ambitious and talented players, preparing them for senior soccer both at the Redbacks and in elite competitions across Victoria.
Current Redbacks players DO NOT need to complete this EOI; it is exclusively for external players interested in joining our thriving community.
Our programs are overseen by highly experienced Technical Directors, Soccer Directors, and licensed coaches dedicated to individual player development and team success. At Eltham Redbacks, we prioritise a positive attitude, a strong commitment to training, and the relentless pursuit of improvement.
